It is a vocal group.  We all have a say is what we choose to read each month.  We begin with cup of tea, or coffee and a quick catch-up on news.  The person to recommend the month’s book will probably start the discussion with their comments , perhaps on why the book was chosen, then the comments begin with other opinions.  Ideas one may have had at this stage can illuminate, or provoke changes of opinion. This may lead on to what we choose for the next month.  The news letter is a means of keeping any absent members aware of what we’ve chosen for the next meeting.
