This month we walked from the Willeymoor Lock Tavern on the Shropshire Union Canal (Llangollen branch) towards Grindley Brook. We walked along the A41 briefly then turned into Wobbs Lane, where we chatted to a couple with the most beautifully trimmed hedge. We couldn't contain our admiration and envy! Further along the lane, we passed a stunning bluebell wood before joining Cooks Lane, then Willeymoor Lane and on across a few fields. For once, the fields weren't muddy, but they were sporting impressive crops of dandelions. I almost had a Wordsworth moment and penned a poem! We then re-joined the towpath, passing a cottage with a small, but bijou, pets hotel before returning to the tavern for a well earned drink and some lunch...
